Do you support the Alternative Veterans Exemption which would allow veterans a partial exemption from school taxes even if it means an increase to your own taxes?

Many local school districts are considering adopting a veterans tax exemption as was signed into law by Gov. Andrew Cuomo in Dec. 2014. The implementation of the veterans exemption will not change the tax levy for the school district but instead will shift the tax exemption amount to non-veteran taxpayers.

WINDHAM — Mystery and shock continue to surround a state police raid on the municipal offices in Windham, where the deputy town supervisor is reportedly resigning.

A cloud of government silence has shrouded the community since a team of state police BCI investigators seized a computer from Town Supervisor Stacy Post’s office last week.
