CAIRO — Thomas F. Griffin, age 73 years, of East Durham, NY, died June 29, 2009, at his residence.
He was born in Ireland June 7, 1936, and was the son of the late Michael and Nora (Sullivan) Griffin.
Memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Knock Shrine.
Private cremation will take place at The Albany Rural Crematorium.
He has been an area resident for 20 years, a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, an avid golfer, and a past employee of The N.Y.S. Dept. of Sanitation.
He is survived by two daughters Mrs. Martin (Helen) Caputo of Staten Island, Mrs. Pete (Mary) Jackson of England, a brother Padraig Griffin of Ireland four grandchildren Jena and Sean Caputo and Juliette and Grace Keavney and also a great grandson Thomas.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary Catherine.
Funeral arrangements under the direction of Richards Funeral Home, 29 Bross Street, Cairo.
Contributions in his memory may be made to The American Heart Association.
There will be no calling hours. The day of the Mass, everyone is asked to meet at The Shrine.
