Hensonville teen charged with robbery
State police say the suspect appeared to display a handgun
CATSKILL — State Police at Catskill and Town of Windham Police said Tuesday that they have arrested Dominick V. Leo, 18, of Hensonville for robbery in the 2nd degree, a class C Felony.
Greene County 911 dispatch received a call from a person reporting that someone had broken into a motor vehicle. Responding patrols located the vehicle, a 1999 Subaru Legacy being operated by Leo on Route 23 in the Town of Durham.
State police said Leo displayed what appeared to be a handgun during the larceny of the vehicle.
Leo was processed at Catskill state police barracks in South Cairo and arraigned before Town Justice Thomas Baldwin at Cairo Town Court.
Leo was ordered held in Greene County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled to be in Windham Town Court on July 8.
State Police at Catskill were assisted in the investigation by the Town of Windham Police Department, the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, and the Greene County District Attorney’s Office.
