Dorothy E. Schwartz


Central Islip State Hospital employee

CATSKILL — Dorothy Evelyn Schwartz, 75, of 9 Lilac Lane, Kiskatom, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2008 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. She was born Dec. 6, 1932 in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Henry and Evelyn Schwartz.



Formerly of Long Island, Dorothy was an employee at the Central Islip State Hospital. She had been a Greene County resident since 1991. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Walter Schwartz in 1989.

Dorothy is survived by five children, John Leombruno of South Cairo, Sharon Leombruno-Dennis of Angelton, Texas, Wayne Leombruno of Inkster, Mi., Alan Leombruno of Kiskatom and Walter Schwartz of Kiskatom; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call at Traver & McCurry Funeral Home, 234 Jefferson Heights, Catskill on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. Victor Nelson will be officiating. Private cremation will be performed at Park View Cemetery in Schenectady.
