COXSACKIE — Frank Joseph DeRobertis, 92, of Athens, originally of Newburgh, died Oct. 14, 2008 at his residence. He was born Oct 5, 1916, in Newark, N.J., and was the son of the late Joseph and Angelina (Rotundo) DeRobertis.

Frank worked for many years as a laborer with the Local 17 in Newburgh. He was a life member of the Bass Anglers Society, a life member of Black Rock Fish and Game Club in Cornwall, a life member of The Loyal Order of Moose Local 17 Retirees of Newburgh, a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Coxsackie, a 35 year resident of Sleepy Hollow Lake, a member of Holy Name Society Lady of the Lake, Orange Lake, Town of Newburgh, Coxsackie Senior Citizens Club, Area Senior Citizens Club, Coxsackie, a life member of Roseton Rod and Gun Club in Newburgh, and formerly of Newburgh where he lived for over 60 years.

Frank is survived by his two daughters, Barbara McAllister of Vermont and Nancy Antonucci of Newburgh, one brother Leonard DeRobertis of Newburgh, one sister Josephine Onofrietti of North Carolina, 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by his loving wife Lucy Rita (Buinicky) DeRobertis in 1991, four brothers Mario, Anthony, Hugh and Albert, and four sisters Marcia, Anna, Angelina and Helen.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to call Friday, Oct. 17, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the W.C. Brady’s Sons, Inc. Funeral Home, 97 Mansion St., Coxsackie. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008 at St. Mary’s Church, Coxsackie at 9 a.m. with Rev. Father John Moyna, Pastor, officiating. Calling hours and Mass will also be conducted in Newburgh through the D. Donato Brook Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, phone 1-845-561-8300.
