GREENE COUNTY — It’s been said that strange things happen under a full moon, but Sunday’s invisible new moon saw two different armed individuals hectoring residents on different sides of Greene County.

In the early morning hours Sunday, state police received separate 911 calls from two different complainants in Jewett reporting that they were being menaced by an individual armed with a hunting rifle.

Also on Sunday, Greene County Fire Dispatch received a 911 call from a subject on a cell phone in Greenville reporting being menaced by an individual armed with what appeared to be a handgun.
