Athens Generating claims foundation misused funds

ATHENS — Allegations have surfaced that the not-for-profit group responsible for distributing $2.5 million in community grant money from Athens Generating Company has misused the funds.

Athens Gen Attorney Ruth E. Leistensnider is calling for “immediate forensic accounting” of the Catskill-Olana Viewshed Mitigation Fund, raising “serious questions” about how the Hudson River Foundation has administered the fund.
